Airport Blvd and Pannell St, Austin, Tx
This little cross is right up against busy Airport Blvd so I had to take it's photograph from the side. There is a little wooden cross almost hidden by the white one. I tried to get the vase of flowers to stand but it kept falling over. The ground was little too uneven under the grass. There were no markings to be seen.

Airport exit, SH 71, Texas #2
This patriotic cross is right across the exit ramp from the flower cluster that I posted last October. There are no markings of any kind to determine why or when it may have been put up.

How things work out
I went out yesterday to take some photographs of a couple crosses that I knew about. Unfortunately one of them was already gone. The one near the Fire Station at Airport and IH 35. I remember the first time I saw it. I parked at the fire station to take a photo and they chased me off with a blarring of their horns. Should have explained or found somewhere else to park near by. Now, only a few months later, the cross is no longer there. A lost opportunity. This is why I take these photographs. The crosses can be there for years, weeks or maybe just a couple days. I need to be more proactive in documenting them. I know of at least 6 more in driving distance. Though none of them are close by. Time to make some plans.
However with that lost opportunity, 2 new ones were gained. While driving south down Airport Blvd, I came across two more sites. I will be posting their photographs soon.
