This story plus video from News Channel 8 on July 19, 2010 talks about a widower who put up a cross alongside the road in memory of his wife who was killed 2 years ago by a hit and run driver.

Mission

Many monuments, markers and memorials along our roads remind us of fallen soldiers, great leaders or dramatic events. We can include the unofficial crosses and shrines that we see which are much more personal. They memorialize friends, families and loved ones. People who may not be as visible to the general public but are definitely not forgotten by the people who knew them.
